Medicines

Dental Therapy (Professional Dental Cleaning)-165

This simple procedure is a major part of an oral health care regimen needed to prevent cavitiesgum disease and tooth loss brought on by dental disease. Prophylaxis can prevent the need for a costly dental treatment, such as a tooth filling or gum disease treatment.  Removal of certain bacteria during a dental cleaning can help lower your risk for some systemic disease as well.

House Plants and Candle

Silver Diamine Fluoride (Cavity Medicament)-50

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a liquid substance used to help prevent tooth cavities (or caries) from forming, growing, or spreading to other teeth.  It also relieves dentinal hypersensitivity.

SDF is a safe, painless alternative to traditional cavity drilling procedures.

Fluoride Varnish Treatment

Fluoride varnish is a dental treatment that can help prevent tooth decay, slow it down, or stop it from getting worse. Fluoride varnish is made with fluoride, a mineral that can strengthen tooth enamel (outer coating on teeth).

Herbal Remedies

Temporary Filling

It is used to cover the prepared part of the tooth, in order to maintain the occlusal space and the contact points, and insulation of the pulpal tissues and maintenance of the periodontal relationship.

"Improvements in oral health impact overall health"

Our mouth is the gateway to health

The Surgeon General estimates 85% of Americans have gum disease- which makes it one of the six major risk factors for heart attacks and strokes.  The plaque in our mouths is the same as the plaque in our arteries, so if you have bleeding gums, that stuff is entering your bloodstream.

By removing the more destructive bacteria and deposit that causes gum disease, you can reduce your risk of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Alzheimers, Stroke, and many forms of Cancers.

Economical and Resouceful

Save money in the long run by helping to protect your oral health and potentially avoid more costly and extensive procedures.  Also you avoid the cost of x-rays and an exam at every visit, which occurs in a typical dental setting.

As a caregiver, I know it can be very difficult to get loved ones to their appointments- So why not have the care delivered to them, or you.

Reduce your risks of transmission/exposure- See a single provider vs the typical dental office setting which hosts many providers and several patients an hour.

TOP 4 Reasons to Have your teeth cleaned

STOP TOOTH LOSS- Gum disease is a major cause of tooth loss in adults.  As gum disease advances, plaque moves further down the tooth where it can destroy the supporting bone in your jaw, causing teeth to loosen and fall out.
BOOST OVERALL HEALTH- Studies have shown a connection between oral and overall health. Regular dental cleanings reduce bacteria, free radicals and inflammation, thus lowering the risk of some diseases like heart disease, stroke, some cancers, premature aging, autoimmune disease, dementia, low birth weight preterm pregnancies and diabetes.
PREVENT CAVITIES- Plaque is a whitish acidic substance that accumulates on the teeth.  It eats away at the tooth enamel and if left unattended, can lead to cavities.
FRESHEN YOUR BREATH- The oral cavity is home to 500 bacterial species, most of which are capable of producing sulfur compounds that cause bad breath.

MEET YOUR HYGIENIST

April Saylor RDH, EPP

My dental career began in 2002 as a patient care specialist in Happy Valley, Or.  My passion for people compelled me to continue my career as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  After graduating in 2011, I was fortunate to work with varying talented dentists in both the private and progressive corporate settings.

After caring for, and connecting with so many patients in a "typical" dental setting, I realized my calling was truly to reach others that could not reach me.

My mother in law was diagnosed with early onset dementia when she was 48, and as one of her care givers I experienced first hand the challenges in this under served population.   Her challenges became my challenges and that is what so many loved ones face.  This propelled me to start Oregon Mobile Hygiene, in hopes of reaching out to to a population of individuals that deserve affordable convenient access to care.

My goal is to better each patients overall well being, by connecting with them both personally and professionally.
